wilo se is a successful, established company, with its headquarters in dortmund. the core of its business is manufacturing pumps and pump systems, an area in which they are one of the world market leaders. the company has numerous subsidiaries both at home and abroad; it has approximately 5,000 employees and is constantly expanding. the success of any global company is, naturally, based on the sound quality and high recognition value of its products. to achieve these ideals, wilo steadily encourages its pump manufacturing employees to hold corporate product design and recognizable branding at utmost importance.
to that end, over a period of more than three years, mehnert corporate design developed an extensive corporate product design guide in association with wilo se. this guide established the design principles for all future product development for wilo se.
the main focus of the guide is the two biggest brands of wilo se wilo and salmson. the guide comprehensively describes the essential design principles, details, and brand-specific features for all wilo se products, both existing and future, in order to clearly define a corporate identity and branding. this corporate design guide systematically depicts the appropriate strategy for the design of new wilo se products in order to support developers and engineers from the very beginning of the product development process.
